Hey everyone, I'm curious how you're all approaching XAUUSD given the current mixed signals. We have a neutral trend overall, but the RSI is clearly bearish at 39.8. Price is also below the 20 and 50 SMAs, yet comfortably above the 200 SMA. For position traders, this kind of setup can be tricky. Are you waiting for a clear break of the 5190 resistance or perhaps a dip towards the 5040 support before considering any entries? What indicators are you finding most reliable in these consolidating markets? It feels like we're just waiting for a catalyst to push us out of this range, maybe some geopolitical news or a shift in USD sentiment.

@schen570 I agree, the mixed signals are making it tough. The fact that price is still above the 200 SMA is bullish long-term. But the short-term indicators like RSI and the 20/50 SMAs suggest some downward pressure. I'm watching for a potential fakeout-a dip below 5160 followed by a quick recovery. That could be a good entry for a long position if confirmed. The conflicting signals make me think caution is key here.
