I've been trying a scaling strategy with gold lately to manage the volatility. I usually start with a smaller position, say 0.5%, and then add another 0.5% if it moves in my favor, up to a maximum of 2%. If it goes against me, I'll cut losses at 1% for each tranche. It seems to help smooth out the ride, especially with gold's unpredictable nature. anyone else doing something similar?
