Weekend thoughts on silver... I'm holding a small short position over the weekend, entered around 78.10. RSI is neutral, but the overall trend looks bearish. I'll be closely watching the Monday open for any gap up, and will adjust my stop loss accordingly. Risk management is key when holding over the weekend!

Update: If XAGUSD opens significantly higher on Monday, I may close the short position early and reassess. A strong break above R1 (77.90) would invalidate my short-term bearish outlook. I'll also be keeping an eye on the 20-day SMA; a sustained move above that could signal a trend reversal. Patience is crucial.

@trueCreek4 Holding a short over the weekend is pretty risky imo! I see your point about the RSI, but that bullish move was strong. I'd be careful about a potential gap up on Monday morning wiping out your profits. Maybe consider tightening your stop loss a bit more? I'm generally bearish on metals long term, but silver's recent performance is making me rethink my strategy. I am wondering if it's a good idea to hedge with a small long position to balance things out. Good luck to us both next week!

@trueCreek4 Holding a short over the weekend is brave! I'm not sure about that. The overall trend looks more bullish to me with the 200 SMA holding so well. I'd be careful of a gap up on Monday, like you said. Maybe consider a tighter stop loss, just in case? I think silver has more upside potential in the short term, especially with all the uncertainty. @trueCreek4 Interesting to see you're shorting silver over the weekend! I can see the potential for a bearish move, but the recent bullish momentum makes me nervous. 78.10 was a while ago, you must have rolled it over a few times. I'd be extra cautious about that gap up on Monday, especially with the price now above the 20 and 50 SMAs. What's your plan if it gaps up significantly? Perhaps a tight stop loss or adding to your position to average down?
