Friday's close on XAUUSD was a bit of a messy one, ending down around 1.7%. Not ideal, but the 200 SMA at 4528 is still holding as a longer-term support. The 50 SMA sitting above price at 4693 could be a resistance level to watch next week, especially if we open with a gap down.

Yeah, that 50 SMA acting as resistance is definitely something to keep an eye on. If price can't break through that early on Monday, we might see another leg down towards that 200 SMA.

Hey @MiaThompson14, I hear you on that 50 SMA acting as resistance. But honestly, I feel like this whole inflation talk might just be the excuse smart money needs to push gold up. That consumer confidence nosedive they're talking about? That screams recession fears, and gold LOVES that. I'm thinking of a 100x long on this if it dips to the 4750 area, maybe even lower. Forget the SMAs, we're going for the moon or ramen tonight, right? Who cares about the 200 SMA if we can catch a whale's move on the Asian session? Let's see if this inflation narrative actually plays out and sends us past 4800.

Hey @MiaThompson14, I agree about watching that 50 SMA. It does look like resistance. I'm also a bit worried about Monday's open. Could we see a big gap down? I'm thinking of closing my trade just to be safe over the weekend. This price action is making me nervous.
