Hello everyone! I'm relatively new to this, but I'm trying to learn swing trading. I've noticed DXY is currently around 96.64. Does anyone think it might be a good idea to watch for a potential bounce off the 50-day SMA around 96.60 before considering a long position? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @chloedavis! I'm also pretty new, so take my advice with a grain of salt, haha. I think watching for a bounce off the 50 SMA is a good idea. I've been trying to use SMAs more in my trading. But also maybe check the RSI? It's kinda neutral right now around 43, but if it gets oversold, that might be a stronger signal for a bounce. I'm still trying to figure out how to combine indicators, it's kinda confusing. Good luck!

@chloedavis, that's a solid idea! Watching for a bounce off the 50-day SMA is a good way to manage risk. Just be sure to set a tight SL in case it breaks through! Good luck!
