I'm really struggling with the spreads on XAUUSD today, especially with all the volatility. It feels like every time I try to enter a trade, the spread just widens and eats into my potential profit before I even get a chance. And then there's the slippage on the close sometimes, it's just frustrating. Makes scalping so much harder when you're fighting the broker.

Maybe it's just the market conditions during this overlap session though? I've noticed that when things are this active, the liquidity can get a bit weird. Still, it feels like I'm losing money just by existing in a trade for a few minutes. I was hoping to catch a quick move around that 4760 level, but the bid-ask was so wide it was practically a joke. I wish someone would explain why the spreads get so bad during what should be the best trading times. Is it just demand, or is there something else going on? I'm just trying to understand if this is normal or if I should really be looking elsewhere. This uncertainty is making me nervous about even placing my next order.

Seriously, I think I'm going to try a different broker for my gold trades. This constant battle with spreads is just not worth it.

Hey @BoldRiver57, I totally get what you're saying about the spreads on XAUUSD. It's brutal, especially when you're trying to scalp or catch quick moves. Friday was nuts, the spread was like 20 pips at one point for me, felt like I was losing money before the trade even started. Makes you wonder if the broker is widening it on purpose during volatile sessions. I've been looking at other platforms too, trying to find one with tighter spreads for gold. It's such a pain when you see a perfect entry but the spread just kills it. Maybe we should all compare notes on brokers? This is not NFA, just my experience, but good spreads are crucial for gold trading.
