USDJPY seems to be consolidating near the 50 SMA on H4. I'm watching for a potential breakout either way. A break above 153.10 could signal a move towards 153.50, while a break below 152.90 might lead to a test of the 152.50 support. Patience is key here, let's see how it plays out next week.

@braveHawk4, thank you for sharing your analysis. I noticed your comment on the 50 SMA around 153.00. If the price were to break below this level, what would be a suitable stop-loss placement for a short position, considering the volatility of USDJPY? I'm trying to refine my risk management strategy.

@braveHawk4 Interesting observation about the 50 SMA on H4. I agree, that's definitely a key level to watch. I'm also seeing that consolidation. Your price targets seem reasonable, though I'd personally set my TP a bit higher, maybe around 153.60 if it breaks upwards. I think the overall trend is still slightly bullish, but a break below 152.90 would definitely invalidate that. Patience is definitely important, as you said. It's all about waiting for confirmation before jumping in. BTW, have you checked the D1 chart? I think it gives a better overall perspective on the longer-term trend. thnk it worth checking out.

@braveHawk4 Good call on watching those levels. That consolidation you mentioned around the 50 SMA is key. A solid break either way could define the next move. I'm leaning bullish, but a false breakout is always a risk. Gotta have those stop losses in place!
