I've been trying to get a better grasp on pivot points lately. I understand the basic concept, but I'm struggling to incorporate them into my actual trading strategy. Any advice on how to effectively use pivot points, especially in a volatile market like this one with USDJPY? Are there specific timeframes or confluences with other indicators that work well?

And on that note, what are some reliable resources for learning more about pivot points? I've watched a few YouTube videos, but they often feel too simplistic. Looking for something more in-depth, maybe a book or a website with detailed examples. It would be great to see how experienced traders are actually using them in their USDJPY analysis. I want to be sure I'm not missing something important.

I'm trying to get my head around the Bollinger Bands for USDJPY right now. The price has just dipped below the middle band (159.25) and is flirting with the lower band around 158.9. Given the current bearish momentum, I'm wondering if this is a potential entry point for a short position, or if we're just seeing a temporary pullback before a larger move up? I know RSI is neutral at 42.6, which isn't giving much away. What are your thoughts on using the Bollinger Bands in conjunction with the current trend? Should I be looking for a break of the lower band, or is that too risky given the Sydney session's volatility?

I'm really struggling to make sense of these pivot points for USDJPY today, especially with the current bearish trend. Brittany, I see you're asking about them too! I've been watching the price hover around the pivot point at 159.082, and it seems to be respecting the S1 level at 158.987. But then I look at the 200 SMA, which is actually below the current price, suggesting a bullish undertone historically? It's so confusing! How do you guys reconcile these conflicting signals? Is there a specific way to filter out noise when multiple indicators seem to point in different directions?
