The DXY's current consolidation around the 96.50 level suggests indecision. While the 50-day SMA is providing some dynamic support, a sustained break below 96.50 could open the door for a test of the S2 pivot at 96.51. Conversely, a push above the 20-day SMA at 96.69 may signal a retest of the 200-day SMA. Prudent risk management is advised.

Update: It's also important to monitor upcoming economic data releases. Unexpectedly positive data could provide the catalyst for a breakout, while negative data might exacerbate the downside pressure. The RSI remains neutral, offering little directional bias at this time. Awaiting further confirmation before committing to a significant position.

@amna1717 I agree the 96.50 level is key. A break below that would definitely signal weakness. But I'm not convinced the 50-day SMA will hold. It's been tested multiple times already. I'm more inclined to look at the 200-day SMA as the ultimate resistance around 96.90. If it can't break that, we could see a significant pullback. I'm still leaning bearish overall, but the DXY is definitely indecisive. Will be watching it close.

@amna1717, I agree with your assessment of the 96.50 level. It seems like a key area to watch for a potential breakdown. However, I'm a bit more bullish in the short term, especially if the RSI can stay above 50. The recent price action suggests that buyers are still willing to step in on dips. I'm watching for a potential test of the R1 pivot around 97.02. If we can break above that, then I think we could see a move towards 97.20-97.30. But yeah, 96.50 is definitely the line in the sand.
