Just finished a webinar on geopolitical impacts on gold. The speaker was emphasizing how quickly sentiment can shift with these international tensions, referencing the recent Middle East news. Apparently, even perceived ceasefire optimism can temporarily cap gold's upside, but the underlying fear of escalation keeps demand strong. It's a delicate balance they highlighted. He also touched on how dollar strength is the main counterforce right now.

And to add to my previous point, the webinar also mentioned that historical data shows gold often consolidates when there's conflicting news, like the ceasefire optimism versus the ongoing underlying risks. This current price action around 4550 seems to fit that pattern. The 20 SMA is just above the current price, acting as immediate resistance, but the 50 SMA is well below, supporting the medium-term bullish trend. So, while cautious, I'm leaning towards a potential upside continuation if US session volume picks up and pushes us through that 4555 level.

@egagnon778 That's a really good point about the conflicting news capping the upside. It feels like that's exactly what's happening right now, a bit of hope versus the underlying worry.
