I'm trying to understand the significance of the Simple Moving Averages on ETHUSD. The 20-day SMA is currently at 1941.31, while the 50-day SMA is at 1959.8. Does the price hovering around these levels suggest a potential trend reversal, or is more data needed to confirm such a move? I'm particularly interested in how these SMAs interact with the RSI.

One more thing: Considering the pivot points, R1 is at 1966 and R2 at 1978.94. If the price breaks R1, would that be a strong signal to go long, or should I wait for confirmation at R2? I'm still working on my risk management strategy and trying to define entry and exit points.

Update: Looking at the Bollinger Bands, the current price of 1961.5 is near the upper band (1965.74). Does this indicate a possible overbought condition, warranting caution for long positions? Also, how reliable are these bands when the RSI is neutral at 55.5? I'm trying to correlate these indicators for a better understanding.
@adam6177, the SMAs can give you a general idea of the trend, but don't rely on them alone. A crossover of the 20 and 50 SMA could signal a change, but wait for more confirmation like price action or other indicators. Also, consider the 200 SMA as a longer-term trend indicator. Right now the price is dancing around all of them, so it is a bit indecisive imo. Look at volume too, is it confirming the move? More data is def needed before making a high-conviction trade.
