Gold's been a bit scary lately! I'm trying to understand all the factors that are influencing it. Is the general feeling that it will go up long-term? I keep hearing about inflation and how gold is a safe haven, but the price keeps dropping. Any thoughts?

@AmandaA68, Gold's safe-haven status is often tested by short-term volatility. Long-term, inflation concerns can indeed support gold, but monitor real interest rates and dollar strength too.
