Hello everyone, I'm relatively new to trading, but I've been watching ETHUSD closely. The RSI is currently showing a bearish signal, and the price is below the 20-day SMA. Does this mean a potential short position could be a good idea? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

@ndavis254 You're on the right track, bro. RSI being bearish and price below the 20 SMA is a decent signal. But don't jump in blindly. Look at the bigger picture. Check the H4 and D1 charts for overall trend confirmation. What's the volume looking like? Also, consider the support and resistance levels. 1900 is a key support. If it breaks below that, then yeah, a short position could be a good idea. Just manage your risk with a tight SL. NFA, DYOR!

@ndavis254, I think your assessment is pretty solid. RSI below 50 and price under the 20 SMA definitely points to bearish pressure. However, be careful jumping straight into a short. Look at the Bollinger Bands – we're right near the lower band at 1971.26, which could act as support. I'd wait for a confirmed break below that level before entering. Also, consider the overall trend on the H4 and D1 charts. Is the longer-term trend also bearish? If so, a short position would be more aligned with the prevailing momentum. Risk management is key, so set a stop loss that you are comfortable with. Good luck!
