It's quite late, but the market activity is still considerable. Observing XAUUSD during these overlapping sessions requires a certain discipline. One must remember that patience is often rewarded more than haste, especially when dealing with significant volatility. Let us not be drawn into impulsive decisions.

I also find that looking at historical data during similar market conditions can be quite insightful. For instance, how did XAUUSD behave after periods of elevated geopolitical tension coupled with a strong stock market rebound, as we saw recently? Often, these 'conflicting' signals can lead to prolonged consolidation rather than a clear directional move. I'll be reviewing some charts from last year tonight before I attempt to get some sleep. It's crucial to avoid confirmation bias and to remain objective, even when the charts seem to be screaming one thing.

Continuing on that thought, it's easy to get caught up in the immediate price swings. However, a truly intermediate trader understands the importance of the larger picture. Are we seeing a minor retracement, or the beginning of a more significant trend shift? I am currently holding a small long position, but I've set my stop loss quite conservatively below the 50-period SMA. I'm certainly not going to risk significant capital overnight if the setup isn't crystal clear. It's about managing risk, always.
