Risk management is absolutely crucial, especially with gold's volatility. I have a strict rule of never risking more than 1% of my capital on any single trade. It's tempting to increase position size when you feel confident, but that's a slippery slope. I also always use stop-loss orders, without exception. It's better to accept a small loss than to hold on and hope for a turnaround, only to see your account decimated. Position sizing based on ATR is also something I'm exploring. It's all about protecting your capital and staying in the game long term.
