This current price action on XAUUSD feels very familiar. I recall a similar choppy, sideways movement back in late 2022 where it just churned for weeks before making a big move. It's like the market is trying to shake out weak hands before the real direction is revealed. I'm just watching it from the sidelines for now.

Yeah, it's just frustrating to see it stuck. The brokers probably love this, raking in fees on all the small scalp trades people are trying to make.

And with that whole Strait of Hormuz situation being mentioned, it's probably going to stay like this until there's some kind of concrete news, either way. The algorithms are just playing ping-pong with the price until then, I bet. Typical manipulation to keep us guessing.

Yeah @owenmartin, I totally get what you mean about the 2022 comparison. It does feel like we're just waiting for something to break the current deadlock. That news about oil prices soaring is wild, I wonder if that will spill over into gold next week, or if the dollar will just keep it suppressed.
