XAUUSD is exhibiting strong bullish momentum. The break above the pivot point at 3885 confirms the upward trajectory. I'm initiating a long position with a target of 3920, aligning with the potential resistance level indicated by the upper Bollinger Band. A tight stop-loss at 3875 is crucial to mitigate downside risk. The RSI, while elevated, still has room to run before reaching overbought territory on the daily timeframe. Furthermore, the ascending SMAs reinforce the long-term bullish outlook. I'll be monitoring the price action closely for any signs of reversal, but for now, the prevailing trend supports further upside potential. This setup offers a solid risk-reward ratio.

Update: Scaling in another position at 3887. SL adjusted to 3878 to lock in some profits.

@williamgreen, that's a pretty aggressive target at 3920 considering the current volatility. Are you factoring in any potential pullbacks before that level? Gold's been known to fakeout a lot, especially with news releases. I'm also thinking long, but I'd be more comfortable with a smaller target, maybe around 5045-5050. Also, a stop loss at 3875 seems quite tight, might get stopped out prematurely. Just my two cents, though, always good to have multiple perspectives! GL with your trade.

@williamgreen I completely agree with your assessment of the bullish momentum in XAUUSD! It's fantastic to see it pushing higher. I'm also looking at a long position, though my target is closer to the R2 pivot around 5200, potentially extending to the upper Bollinger Band at 5207. A well-placed stop-loss is indeed paramount for managing risk effectively. Excellent analysis!
