I'm a little concerned about the GBPUSD trend. The RSI is showing oversold at 18.5, but the SMA 20, 50, and 200 are all so close together around 1.3620-1.3628... Does this mean it's just going to keep bouncing around? 🤔 I'm wondering if it's too risky to jump in right now. 😬
Hello @mthompson570, I understand your concern regarding the clustered SMAs. It does suggest a period of consolidation. However, the oversold RSI could present an opportunity for a short-term bounce. It is wise to be cautious; perhaps waiting for a clearer signal, such as a break above or below the immediate support/resistance levels, would be beneficial. Risk management is indeed crucial in such situations. Maybe consider smaller positions to test the waters before committing fully?

@mthompson570, the close proximity of the SMAs does suggest consolidation and indecision. However, an oversold RSI alone isn't a buy signal. Look for bullish divergence or a break above the 20 SMA for confirmation before entering a long position. Patience is indeed key; avoid impulsive decisions.
