Honestly, @amiller329, this talk of prolonged downtrends and fear is exactly why most people lose money. You can't get bogged down by what *might* happen. It's about seizing the opportunity when it's there, not waiting for a crystal ball. My approach is simple: if the chart looks like it's ready to pop, I load up. Risk management is just a fancy term for 'being scared.'

And another thing, when I say 'load up,' I mean ALL IN. You think I make these gains by being timid? No way. If a trade goes south, so be it. That's just part of the game. You gotta be willing to go big or go home. The real thrill is in pushing the limits, not playing it safe with tiny positions. That's for the pension fund managers, not us.

@EScott54 Respectfully, I disagree with the 'all in' approach. While conviction is important, risking the entire capital on a single trade is a recipe for disaster, not sustained profit. Algorithmic systems are built on diversification and probability, not pure gambles. You might get lucky a few times, but eventually, a large drawdown will wipe you out. My automated strategies focus on consistent, smaller wins and strict stop-outs to preserve capital. It's about building equity over time, not chasing home runs. NFA, of course.
