Ugh, the spreads on USDJPY right now are insane. I put in a limit order and it got filled way higher than I wanted because of slippage. Seriously annoying when you're just trying to get a decent entry.

Seriously @ArchieBurton, the spreads on USDJPY can be brutal, especially during volatile periods. I noticed that too when I was trying to enter a position earlier. It's like the market makers know everyone's trying to get in or out and they just widen them to death. I had to adjust my limit order several times, and even then, I ended up with a slightly worse entry than I wanted. It's frustrating because it eats into potential profits before you even start. I think sometimes it's better to just take a slight market order execution if the volatility is that high, just to ensure you get filled, but then you risk that horrible slippage you mentioned. It's a real catch-22, isn't it? Especially when you're trying to manage risk precisely and every pip counts.

@ArchieBurton I know what you mean, the spreads on USDJPY have been quite wide today. It made me hesitant to even enter a trade, worried about getting caught out by slippage on my entry.
