Hello @ChloeDavis26, I completely understand your caution regarding the Bollinger Bands and the 200 SMA. The geopolitical headlines are certainly making it difficult to ascertain a clear direction for XAUUSD. I've also noticed the convergence of the 20 and 50 SMAs near the 4450 area, which could indeed signal a significant move. However, with the news surrounding the ongoing conflict and the potential for further haven demand, I'm leaning towards a slightly bullish outlook in the short term. I've taken a small long position myself around 4515, but I'm keeping a very tight stop just below the current pivot at 4498. It feels like a bit of a gamble with all the uncertainty, but the charts are showing some strength developing.
