I'm always setting my stop-loss at least 50 pips below my entry on USDJPY, even for smaller trades. It's crucial to give the position some room to breathe, especially with the volatility we've seen lately. I learned the hard way that trying to scalp too tightly here just leads to getting stopped out by noise.

@smurthy964 I hear you on giving trades room. 50 pips is pretty generous though, especially if you're trading smaller size. I tend to put my SL tighter, maybe 20-30 pips max, and then I'll trail it if the trade goes my way. If it hits that, I'm out and reassess. Getting stopped out is part of it, but I hate holding onto losing trades too long.

@smurthy964 Honestly, 50 pips feels like a lot to give up on USDJPY. I'm always worried about getting stopped out on those little wiggles.
